the long and winding road

Because of lack of money I left school at 15 and started work, finally getting into agricultural research by the back door in my mid 20s.

Stayed for a very enjoyable 20 years, was union rep (Prospect) and also a Morris dancer (with Fenstanton Morris and Granta Morris among others) and did an OU degree (it’s amazing what you can cram in!)

2002 the year from hell,
2004 getting redundancy
2004-5 City and Guilds Life Drawing
2005-6 Art Foundation Course, Cambridge Regional College
2006-7 Certificate in Art, Cyprus College of Art
2007-8 Post Graduate Diploma in Art, Cyprus College of Art.

Returned to Cambridge and tried to keep the impetus up! I do life drawing whenever I can. I have a space to paint in now and a part time job to make ends meet. I think this is where the real work starts, trying to put all the ideas that are in my head into physical (paintings and sculpture) form.
